BUSTER

Meet Buster, a loveable little rogue with a lot of love to give!

 

Due to circumstances in his life, Buster is currently under foster care with us here at the charity. His long term history is not known—but despite our suspicion that he has not had the best start in life, he is incredibly resilient, confident and polite!

Buster is a lovely young boy who loves being around people and other dogs. He is extremely reactive to cats so he would NOT be suitable for any home with smaller furry animals.

He loves playing with toys and ball games like fetch are a particular favourite! During his last trial placement he did display guarding behaviour over the young child. This goes to show his natural protective nature, but he would need guidance to direct this in an appropriate way. Although this could easily be corrected by consistent training we would advise a home with older children such as 10 and older.​

Buster has obviously not had any consistency in his life in regards to routine, exercise, training or even feeding. As a result it does take Buster time to settle into a new environment. He would benefit greatly from an experienced dog owner willing to give him the time and patience to become the wonderful loving pet we all know he can be!

We are in the process of crate training as he can get a little anxious when left on his own. He is also due to be neutered on the next few weeks He is very strong on the lead but this again would be easily dealt with by consistent training. He is very intelligent and responds very well to positive re-enforcement and treats.

​

Buster has been for a full behaviour assessment and this can be shared with any potential adopter and any further information can be provided on request.
